We typically operate on a fixed fee basis, which is outlined in our fee scale for all immigration advice and services. This scale serves as a general guide, and we need to understand the full details of your case before determining a precise fee.
We will agree on a fee at the beginning, before you decide to engage our services, ensuring you are fully aware of the costs involved. Our fee range varies because each case is unique, and we can only estimate the amount of work required after knowing the specifics of your situation. Simple cases will fall at the lower end of the fee range, while more complex cases will be at the higher end. Factors that might increase complexity include a problematic immigration history, unusual personal circumstances, urgency, multiple family members as dependent applicants, and the amount of evidence needed based on the facts of the case.
Each case is assessed on its own merits, but rest assured, the fee will be clearly communicated and agreed upon before you commit to our services.
If you choose to withdraw your instructions after engaging us on a fixed fee basis, we will charge for all work completed up to that point at the solicitor’s hourly rate, plus VAT.
Please note that our organisation is VAT registered. Therefore VAT at 20% will be added to the fees outlined below where applicable, i.e. if you are a resident of the UK or EU receiving our services in the UK.
We will charge on an hourly rate details of which are provided in your Client Care Letter, time estimated in advance, where no fixed fee applies (e.g. provision of Advice). Again, this will be made clear to you at the outset.
Our fees guide includes dependants but the number of dependants would increase our charge within the fee range where a range is given.
Please note the fees stated here are purely in respect of our legal fees. Home Office application fees and any disbursements are additional to the fees stated here. We will advise at the outset of any Home Office fees or disbursements which are likely to be incurred and explain exactly what our fixed fee includes.
A disbursement is a fee charged by a third party to provide services, either to us so we can carry out our services or directly to you, e.g. barristers’ fees, Royal Mail or courier postage fees, search fees.
Again, the disbursements involved would be made clear to you before you engage our services. In the course of a case, you would be notified of any previously unanticipated disbursements, e.g. expert report required in light of unforeseen circumstances thrown up by disclosure, before they are incurred and they would not be incurred without your consent.
Many of the above example disbursements may not apply to your case and are listed to give an indication of typical immigration related costs.
The Home Office fees and any associated expenses for third parties are paid by you directly to the relevant authority/company. The table below relates to our legal fees only. An example of disbursements for immigration cases may include, but are not limited to;
Our fixed fees include all attendances and written and telephone correspondence with the client and relevant third parties; all consideration of evidence and advice; consideration and preparation of documents; submission of the application and relevant supporting documents. All photocopying and scanning in respect of preparing the case and submission to UKVI.
Again, every case is different, and it is often difficult to account for UKVI processing times, so the timescales given are approximate for a typical matter by Standard Service, from the start of your case with us until the date you are likely to receive the decision on your application. Likewise, the immigration tribunal timescales vary depending on how busy they are at the time and other factors such as availability of courtrooms, judges, etc. Depending on the type of immigration matter, expedited UKVI application services are available at a surcharge to the Standard Service Home Office application fee and this would cut the time involved accordingly. Again, the services available, their cost and the UKVI service standard timescales specific to your case would all be explained to you at the outset, before you engage our services.
We offer a consultation service whereby we charge £500 plus VAT for an hour consultation which will be deducted from our fixed fee in the event you proceed with a substantive matter.
Details of the experience and qualifications of individuals who will carry out the work are set out on our website’s Lawyers page. The person/s who would be dealing with your case would be made clear to you at the outset before you engage our services.
We have provided the below table in relation to what you may expect the cost of our service to be. If the facts of your case are complex and/or there are unforeseen circumstances, the cost may exceed the fees specified in the table below.
